The Millennium Garden

The Millennium Garden is situated in the corner formed by Bird’s Hill and Linslade Road. It was given to the village by the Allotment Trustees in January 2000 in celebration of the millennium.
Most of it lies below the level of the road; it is protected by hedges and is quite sheltered.

It is laid out with entrances from Bird’s Hill and Linslade Road allowing people to walk through and cut off the corner There are flower beds round the edges with paths winding around two island beds in the middle.

The planting includes various spring bulbs, summer bedding plants, aromatic herbs and an assortment of shrubs.

The garden is maintained by Go Green volunteers led by Terry Ellis. Anyone can come along and help out. Just look out for the posters around the village advertising when work is to take place.
